Legislative Policy Statement

The financial burden of maintaining compliance with state and federal environmental regulations along with responding to noncompliance and conducting cleanups falls squarely on local government taxpayers. For this reason it is imperative that local environmental regulatory agencies be equipped to manage these resources and minimize environmental degradation.
